Chapters 5 & 6

In chapter 5 some things that were unique about Farmer's childhood was the fact that he lived in bus. Then later lived on a boat. Also, there was a time when his family was quite poor. So his father had the family pick fruit with the Haitian workers to make some money. However, there were some things that weren't unique like his growing up with 5 other siblings. Bigs families were very common. I think that Farmer growing up on the slightly poor side and working with the Haitians made him decide to help them have a better life.

In chapter 6 I thought it was interesting after spending his entire child/teenage life on the outside. Then he goes off to college and starts to fit in he retreats from it. For my college choices i realized that it is ok to be yourself because you will find people who will like you for you.
