Laura and Roxane

Through chapter 5 and chapter 6 that we read, we found some unique things about Farmer's youth. For instance he lived in a large bus and a boat. But we have also noticed some things which are not so unique. For example, the number of siblings that he has ( six siblings, somethings more common generally in undevelop countries). Concerning his emotion, he was sometimes angry, affectionate etc...About his family, his parents were hardworkers. His travelling, the environment which he lived in, the fact that he doesnt quit have contribuated to his life's work.
We found many things interesting about Farmer's college experience. For example, he was smart- he got an A in class and he graduated summa cum laude - , he went to Paris and in one year he knew how to talk, read and write in French fluently, he also learn creole,he worked as a volunteer in the emergency room. After reading about Farmer's college path, we found out that in some ways we are also like him in the sense that we study other languages, we plan to get an A in class, we plan to be focused in our studies etc...
